So, my loves, plans for The Sundry Folk Festival are officially in full swing. I ordered SFF stickers to help first-festival comers help us get future-festival comers learn about all things Sundry Folks and have already been talking to my resident good-doers to get baked good freebies for the evening. I happen to know an apple cider genius who just might make us a stockpot full for the evening, so I’ll be asking her this week, too.

Blog stats are up, I see, so I’m hopeful that the word is getting out about the event. I would ask those of you coming here via Facebook to do me the personal favor of telling all your Facebook friends to check out this blog to learn more about the festival. There is no better promotion than word of mouth. So, spread that word. We want to outgrow the house on the first try.

And we’re believing for such success that we’ve already slated these dates for new worship festivals. Mark ‘em on your fancy calendars:

  • February 20
  • May 22 May 15 (Changed due to an eight year old’s ballet recital. But you can come to that, too.)
  • August 21
  • November 13

In the meantime, pray that God would touch and bless the lives of those coming to this event. It’s our prayer that many seeds will be sown during these nights of worship.

If you would like more information about The Sundry Folk Festival or want to learn how you can help with this or an upcoming festival, you can reach us at sundryfolks@gmail.com.

The Sundry Folk Festival (est. 2010) is a multi-artist worship house party with creative outlets for encountering God in new ways. The entrance fee is a can of soup for the local food pantry. Come on and join us.

We intend for SFF to be a recurring event that will bloom and grow over the coming months and years, so this is a blog to help build a community of our fellow sundry folks and talk about sundry things pertaining to God-inspired music, art, literature, and all things lovely.

Our first Sundry Folk Festival is Saturday, February 20, 2010, from 7-11 p.m. The event will be held in the house behind Covenant Community Church (across from the YMCA on Beal Pkwy. in Fort Walton Beach). Admission is a can of soup for the local food pantry.

Stay in touch. And stay sundry.
